The Jewish Refugee Museum has reopened after an extensive renovation, and this walk will include a visit to the museum and the neighbourhood that was once Shanghai's Jewish ghetto.

In the late 1930s, 20,000 European Jews fleeing Nazi Europe made their way to Shanghai, a safe haven when all other doors were closing. In this alien city, they had to make a home and a life in extremely difficult circumstances.

Join us as we explore the history of Shanghai's Jewish ghetto, and the places where the refugees lived, worked, and played. We'll also take a look around the neighbourhood, which contains what was once the Asia's largest prison, as well as an old Sea Temple.

Limited capacity, please register early!
