Officially launched in November 2018 by Minister Chan Chun Sing, the Minister for Trade and Industry, Singapore, SingCham Shanghai is the Shanghai chapter of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (SingCham) and was established with the strong support of the Consulate-General of The Republic of Singapore - Shanghai and Enterprise Singapore. The formation of SingCham was approved by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of PRC MOFTEC (Currently Ministry of Commerce of PRC - MOFCOM).
As a non-profit, membership-based organisation, SingCham Shanghai champions the commercial interests of the Singaporean business community in Shanghai and supports its members' growth by providing Sino-Singapore networks, advocacy and business services. The organisation has its roots in the Shanghai Singapore Business Association (SSBA), with more than 20 years' history of serving Singaporeans in Shanghai.
