The Netherlands has once again been recognized as one of the most innovative countries in the world, reaffirming its global leadership in cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions. In light of this achievement, the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai is organizing an exclusive visit to the Jiashan Sino-Dutch Horticulture Innovation Center, a hub for pioneering agricultural advancements.
This event, hosted on May 8, offers a unique opportunity to explore how Dutch expertise is shaping the future of high-tech horticulture in China. Attendees will participate in a guided tour of the facility, gaining first-hand insights into the latest advancements in sustainable farming, automated irrigation, and precision agriculture.
Following the tour, we will host a seminar featuring Junyi Xu, China Representative of Meteor Systems, a leading Dutch agricultural company specializing in irrigation and growing systems for high-tech greenhouses and indoor farms. With headquarters in Breda, the Netherlands, and over 400 hectares of developed high-tech projects in China since 2019, Meteor Systems exemplifies the impact of Dutch innovation on the global agricultural landscape.
We are also pleased to welcome Shiyu Gu, Technical Advisor at Klasmann-Deilmann, the world's leading substrate company. A graduate of Wageningen University, Shiyu has spent the past decade working closely with professional growers across China to develop sustainable growing solutions for commercial horticultural production. Her talk will focus on how to boost productivity through smart, biodegradable propagation systems, highlighting the next generation of environmentally friendly horticulture practices.
We will round off the event with an informal networking session, where guests can exchange insights while enjoying a selection of home-grown snacks, showcasing the very produce made possible by the latest in horticultural innovation.
Join us for this insightful event as we celebrate Dutch ingenuity and its role in driving sustainable solutions in China's agricultural sector.
