Mr. Chum Wei Wei heads up DBS China’s Global Transaction Services. He is responsible for the Bank’s transaction banking products & services, digital platforms, and product sales. He recently joined from Singapore in 2021.
Mr. Chum has over 26 years of banking experience, with more than 10 years with DBS Bank. Prior to DBS, he has worked for top global banks like HSBC, Standard Chartered and Citibank; encompassing a wide range of experience in relationship management, transaction banking and project management.
Nicole Sun started her professional career with KPMG China since 2010, and has been devoted to providing with advisory services to her clients faced with challenges from customs authorities in China and complicated customs issues in relation to customs valuation, tariff rates, processing trade, bonded operations, and supply chain optimisation.
Nicole has participated in a wide range of projects regarding customs duty optimization and utilisation of the applicable international trade models. She has assisted a number of MNCs as well as domestic companies in customs compliance diagnosis, review and recommending on existing import and export processes, supply chain restructuring as well as exploring any potential duty saving opportunities.
She takes a leading role in conducting interviews with various clients from logistics, finance & accounting, in-house imports and exports, brokers and agents, covering every aspect of customs and trade, and is able to identify control deficiencies and customs risks.
Nicole has been acting as liaison between local team and global team, and provides valuable insights into Chinese tax and customs rules and regulations during various large-scale projects.
Over the recent years, she has been providing assistance to many enterprises in AEO certificate program, including application for an upgraded certificate and re-assessment to maintain the current credit rating, and has quite a lot successful experiences for AEO applications.
Her clients cover a wide spectrum of industries, including automobile, electronics, chemicals, consumer markets, food and spirits industry, etc.
Mr. Albert Yuan joined UOB China in May 2018 to head Transaction Banking business comprising cash management, trade financing and liability management. He is also the General Manager of Shanghai Branch in charge of its business expansion and product portfolios and ensuring its operations.
Since joining the Bank, Mr. Yuan has been focusing on developing tailored and progressive cash management and trade financing solutions to support companies to seize emerging growth opportunities and expand business within and across borders. He led the team to complete a number of innovative business cases in the area of international trade and liquidity management and have won multiple prestige banking awards from industry media including Asset, Asian Banker and Treasury Today.
Mr. Yuan has more than 20 years of experience in Banking across cities in China and Tokyo in Japan. Prior to joining UOB China, he also assumed management roles to oversee Transaction Banking product and sales teams with several renowned foreign banks.
Mr. Yuan holds a Master of Economics from Rikkyo University, Japan and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wuhan University.
Asta is the Leader of PwC's Worldtrade Management Service (WMS) practice, based in Shanghai, China. Asta is a senior Customs and Trade Compliance professional with over 20 years extensive working experience, both in consulting firms and different industries by focusing on Customs & international trade intelligence and compliance, supply chain strategies and planning from Customs and trade perspective.
During Asta’s 20 years professional experience, she has been active in Customs & trade community and built-up good network throughout China. She leads the Customs taskforce in different industry associations for interactions with different level Customs and explore the solutions for the industry specific issues. Besides, she is the Co-chair of Customs &Trade Facilitation Group of Amcham and participated in a couple of advocacy cases.
