Founder of Meldd ConsensusCharles Du is an MIT Media Lab graduate and formerly Communications Director for Accenture’s Enterprise Search and Collaboration global practice. Having worked on multi-million knowledge/portal projects in the US and Europe, he settled in Singapore after an INSEAD MBA and managed the APAC operations network of Swiss linguistic services company CLS Communication (now part of Lionbridge), coordinating 500 hundred full- and part-time direct reports.
Witnessing the havoc wrought by info overload, disinformation, and polarization, Charles had realized that the dispersive messaging communication as the basis of the Internet is its Original Sin. The only solution is to create a new convergent consensus framework designed around civil, constructive, and concrete transactional communication (no messaging or comments!). He founded Meldd Consensus as a startup in Singapore and now lives in Shanghai.
The software framework is initially accessible through mobile, to be extended to browser and VR. It enables up to millions to work together directly on topic clusters, remotely and asynchronously, eliminating the dependency on meetings and messaging. Important clusters could be brought on to blockchain, to form a verifiable record and collective memory. Organized around Nodes with distributed ownership of all content, Meldd facilitates the consolidation of useful information into a Constructive Web.
